High School Special Admissions
Information for
Special Admission Students
(Grades 9 - 12) & Their Parents
Application for Admission: All Special Admission students are encouraged to apply on-line at: www.moorparkcollege.edu/apply.

The following applies to all special admission students including home schooled students All Special Admission students must register in person. At the time of registration, all special admission students must have the following:
Special Admission students may enroll in a maximum of 11.0 units for the Fall/Spring semesters and 9.0 units in the Summer. |
Registration Instructions for Special Admission Students Enrolled in Grades 11 and 12
- May register in-person during the registration dates and hours listed in the Schedule of Classes.
- Must have a Pre-Requisite Approval form signed by a Moorpark College counselor indicating they have completed the academic prerequisite in order to enroll for any Math class (except Math M09, Math M01, Math M02, and Math M03)
- Must complete the on-line English Self-Assessment process in order to enroll for Engl M01A: www.moorparkcollege.edu/orient.
- May register in any open class if they meet the academic prerequisite as listed in the Schedule of Classes
Registration Instructions for Special Admission Students Entering Grades K - 10:
- Must attend the first meeting of the class for which they plan to enroll
- Must receive approval from the Moorpark College instructor in order to enroll in any class. The instructor will grant approval with his/her signature or give the student a 4-digit Add Authorization number
- Must have a Pre-Requisite Approval form signed by a Moorpark College counselor indicating they have completed the academic prerequisite in order to enroll for any Math class (except Math M09, Math M01, Math M02, and Math M03)
- Must complete the on-line English Self-Assessment process in order to enroll for Engl M01A: www.moorparkcollege.edu/orient.
- Must register in person once instructor approval has been granted during the registration dates and hours listed in the Schedule of Classes.
Fee Information for Special Admission Students
Special Admission students are exempt from paying the $20.00 per unit enrollment fee. However, they are responsible for payment of the following fees:
- Health fee - mandatory
- Student Center fee - mandatory
- Student Representation Fee - mandatory
- Parking fee - optional
- Associated Student/Photo ID - optional
- Nonresident Tuition - mandatory, if applicable
- Foreign Student Capital Outlay Fee - mandatory, if applicable
Important Notes
- The academic records of all students, including Special Admission students, are private and will not be released without the student's written consent to anyone including parents or guardians.
- Special Admission students are responsible for complying with all Moorpark College rules, regulations, and deadline dates
- If Moorpark College transcripts are needed, Special Admission students must make a written request for their records to be sent once their class has been completed. Transcripts are not sent automatically and cannot be sent without the student's written consent
- Moorpark College does not send grade cards. Special Admission students may use WebSTAR to access their grades: www.moorparkcollege.edu/webstar
- Students below the 9th grade are generally not admitted for official college enrollment
