Registered nurses are concerned with the promotion of health through direct and indirect client care and client teaching. The two year Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) program is intended to develop the necessary knowledge and skill basic to the function of the registered professional nurses in the direct care of patients. The successful completion of this program entitles the student to an Associate Science Degree, and meets the eligibility requirements to take the professional licensing examination to become a registered nurse. The nursing program is accredited by the California State Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and by the National League for Nursing (NLNAC). Registered nurses may work in hospitals, extended care facilities, doctor's offices, and clinics or home health care.
