I earned my BSN from California State University, Chico in 1982, and, since then, have worked as a nurse in many different settings all over the country. In 1997, my family moved to Camarillo, and I worked as the Simi Valley Unified School District DATE (Drug, Alcohol, Tobacco Education) Nurse for 13 years. I earned my School Nurse Credential from California State University, Northridge in 2005. In 2010 I left to go to graduate school, graduating from Walden University in 2013 with a Master of Public Health degree. I am now the Health Educator in the Moorpark Student Health Center. My job is to design and deliver health programs and outreach to the students, parents, faculty, and staff of the Moorpark College community. I have only been on campus for a few months, but so far I really enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and academic environment.
