Moorpark College Presents Arctic Lights and Holiday Lights
The second annual "Holiday Lights" at Moorpark College is December 1, 2012, noon-6:30 p.m. Presented by the Moorpark College Foundation and Moorpark College Associated Students, this annual event celebrates the holidays and raises scholarship funds. Sponsors and vendors are welcome. Enjoy family activities, including a children’s fun zone, vendor booths, food, entertainment, trackless train, silent auction, and Santa’s photo shop. Support students and send a message of gratitude at http://inv.st/2EN. Individuals/companies can purchase a single light or a strand/window of lights with a message printed in the program. The sponsored lights will adorn the campus library and “light up” the night at 5:30 p.m. Admission to Holiday Lights is free; optional activities may cost extra. In conjunction with Holiday Lights, America’s Teaching Zoo will hold its annual "Arctic" Lights event on December 1-2 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Visit the animals, enjoy holiday decorations, and wild animal shows. Tickets: $6 seniors and children under 12; $8 adults; children 2 and under free. On December 1, 10 tons of REAL SNOW will carpet the zoo. For more info, call (805) 378-1441. Rounding out the day is “Wine and Unwind.” Tickets for Wine and Unwind are $45 and include wine, hors d'oeuvres, and reserved admittance to the Holiday Lights Concert at 7 p.m. in the PAC, plus two tickets to Shakespeare in March 2013.
