What’s The Point ? is a show asking the same question with humor and pathos, while exploring diverse topics— from despair toGod to breast implants. In Got Any Queens? by Christopher Campbell, two friends look for each others’ inner rainbow. Girl On The Rocks by Bonnyjean Hoffert questions if love really is the answer. Worn Out Shoes written by Daniel Sanchez and directed by Kirsten Essiambre reveals how a painting and a chance meeting can bring about a moment of truth. Broken by Jeremy Barbee introduces death as a character whose presence encourages appreciation of life.
Poems by students Mary Sagala Verleur and Barb Lanier and faculty Kathryn Adams, Carol Cellucci, Joelle Hannah, Sandra Hunter and Julius Sokenu offer insightful perspectives. What’s The Point? also includes a dance by faculty member, Beth Megill, and original songs by students Ray Hebel and Barnaby Williams.
Each of the four performances will be followed by a question and answer period to discuss -- What’s The Point?
There will be no advance ticket sales or reservations.
Because of the language and subject matter of some of the plays, What’s The Point? is not recommended for children.
