| Alumnus Nick Rutherford is returning to Moorpark College for one night in an evening of stand-up comedy called “Like These Guys” on Tuesday, June 9 at 8:00pm. Rutherford will bring three of his comedic cohorts John Patrick Wells, Aalap Patel and Matteson Perry. The performance will be held in the Studio Theatre and all seats are $10.00.
Rutherford recently finished a nationwide tour with his sketch group "Good Neighbor," whose work can be seen on MTV, E! and the CW network. Nick was featured at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York Underground Comedy Festival, The Los Angeles Comedy Festival, the Out of Bounds Festival in Austin TX, and The New York Stand-Up Comedy Festival.
John Patrick Wells is a veteran of both the Los Angeles and New York comedy scenes and has worked with Robin Williams, Morgan Murphy and David Cross
Aalap Patel is based out of New York City. He was the winner of the Comedy Crisis Comedian Competition in 2008 and a finalist at The Comedy Cellar’s Laugh-Off Competition in 2007.
Originally from Colorado, Matteson Perry is a New York City based writer and comedian who co-produces the monthly comedy show “The New Young Comedians” which features the best from New York’s underground comedy scene.
