| The Forensics team at Moorpark College finished third at the 2009 Phi Rho Pi National Tournament in Portland, Ore. that concluded on April 11. In March, the team won the state championship.
“The team did great. I couldn’t ask for a better effort for my last year,” said Jim Wyman, one of the team’s first coaches who is retiring at the end of the semester.
Moorpark has competed in the nationals for 37years, coming in first eight times. Last year, the team came in second. The other fulltime instructors who are coaches are August Benassi, Jill McCall, Rolland Petrello and Neal Stewart. |
