| Moorpark College will hold its Academic Center building dedication on Friday, September 24, 3:00 p.m., at 7075 Campus Road in Moorpark. The Academic Center is a three-story, 47,000 square foot facility that will act as a bridge uniting the upper and lower campus for disabled students, faculty, staff, and visitors. Thirty-three classrooms with seating capacity ranging from 35-100 students are equipped with state-of-the-art audio/visual equipment and access to Internet services. Faculty offices have been placed on the second and third floors for easy access. A parking lot is located in front of the building for easy entry, and an unloading area is conveniently available for disabled students. The building utilizes glass fiber reinforced concrete panels and window wall glazing to allow for needed sun shading and an excellent view of the lawn area on campus. This construction project was funded using Measure S Bond funds. The building dedication will include the Ventura County Community College District Board of Trustees, Chancellor, Moorpark College President, employees, and students. The event is open to the public, and free parking is available. |
