| The second annual "Holiday Lights" at Moorpark College is Saturday, December 1, 2012, noon-6:30 p.m. Presented by the Moorpark College Foundation and Moorpark College Associated Students, this special and visually spectacular annual event celebrates the holidays and raises scholarship funds for Moorpark College students. Sponsors and vendors are welcome. The day consists of family activities, including a children’s fun zone, vendor booths, food, entertainment, trackless train, silent auction, and Santa’s photo shop. Support students and send a message of gratitude at http://inv.st/2EN. Individuals and companies can purchase a single light or a strand or window of lights, with a special message printed in the event program. The sponsored lights will adorn the campus library and “light up” the night at 5:30 p.m. Admission to the Holiday Lights event is free; optional activities may cost extra. In conjunction with Holiday Lights, the college's zoo, America’s Teaching Zoo, will hold its annual "Arctic" Lights event on December 1-2 from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Visit the animals, enjoy holiday decorations, and eat plenty of baked goods while watching wild animal shows and demonstrations. Tickets are $6 for seniors and children under 12; $8 for adults; children 2 and under are free. On Saturday, December 1, 10 tons of REAL SNOW will carpet the zoo.
