Information night for parents and new students set.
With high school graduation rapidly approaching, Moorpark College is reaching out to parents whose high school seniors have not yet decided on an educational path, as well as those who have already chosen Moorpark College.
“Each year, college officials welcome parents and potential Moorpark College students on campus for an information session, where they showcase the programs and services of the college including admissions, financial aid, and counseling,” says Outreach Specialist Richard Torres.
This year Moorpark College's event is Wednesday, May 7 at 7 pm in the Performing Arts Center.
An overview of the application, assessment, orientation and registration processes is offered, followed by information on the college’s educational programs, including degree, career, certificate and transfer paths. Ample time will be allowed for questions and answers.
"Many parents are unaware of the advantages of attending Moorpark College, says Torres. “Moorpark College offers dedicated teachers, low cost, small class size, and transferability of course work.”
Refreshments will be provided and parking is free.
