Moorpark College is seeking presenters for Multicultural Day scheduled for April 12, 2011, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Multicultural Day is an annual alternative day of instruction featuring insightful lectures, breathtaking performances, amazing exhibits, thought-provoking presentations, exciting demonstrations, energetic panel discussions, experiential exercises, innovative storytelling, inspiring music, rhythmic dance, dramatic theater, and hands-on activities. All of this is coupled with informational, educational, and merchant booths from local and international organizations, and appetizing food offerings
The deadline for proposal submission is Wednesday, December 1, 2010. Presentation topics or performances must have an international or cross-cultural focus and should address this year’s theme, “Celebrating a Wealth of Cultures.” The objective is to have audience members understand the differences and similarities within and between cultures throughout the world.
