Students who have completed an academic program and have or will receive a degree or certificate during the 2008/09 year or who have been accepted to a transfer university for Fall 2009 are eligible to take part in Commencement.
Transfer students should notify the Career/Transfer Center of their acceptance to gain access to Commencement by calling (805) 378-1536 or by emailing mctransfer@vcccd.edu.
All students who wish to participate can purchase a cap and gown at the college bookstore from April 27- May 21. Sales continue as long as supply lasts. The bookstore is open M-Th 7:30 am until 7 pm and Friday 7:30 am until noon. (805) 378-1436.
Commencement rehearsal is 5/21 at 10:30 a.m. in the Campus Quad.
Guests do not need tickets for Commencement. Seating is open. Parking is free on that day. The ceremony lasts 1.5 hours. The Bookstore nearby in the Campus Center will be open. Handicap parking is available up the driveway to the Child Development Center off of Campus Road.
