| The Gary Ogden Memorial Lecture 2011 will be held Thursday, February 10, 2011, at 7 p.m. on the main stage in the Moorpark College Performing Arts Center (free admission). The guest speaker will be Dr. Jim Alfano (University of Nebraska). He will be discussing his research in bacterial plant pathogens. More specifically, on a bacterial protein secretion system that injects bacterial proteins into plant cells, which suppress the plant immune system.
