Each year about 1300 students graduate from Moorpark College with an AA degree, however many more transfer without packaging their units into a degree. Because of this fact, there are several opportunities to recognize transfer success including one, “for the first time ever,” listed below!
Transfer ‘Wall of Fame’
As students receive their notification of university acceptances, they stop by the CareerTransfer Center in Fountain Hall or access the transfer notice form online at www.moorparkvollege.edu/career and let us know about their successe. We post their acceptances on the Transfer ‘Wall of Fame’ in the entry of Fountain Hall.
Transfer Social Thursday May 7th 11am-1pm in the Quad
Transfer students, faculty, and college representatives meet for a pizza celebration in the Quad. Students have a chance to meet other students transferring and talk to faculty and college reps who have attended their university of choice.
For the first time ever, students who have completed a transfer program and been accepted at a transfer institution will be able to walk in the Commencement Ceremony with or without an Associate Degree. Students bring a copy of a transfer acceptance letter to the Career/Transfer Center and they will receive an invitation to participate in the Commencement Ceremony. This is an important rite of passage that now, for the first time, Transfer students will be able to experience. Commencement Ceremony Thursday May 21st 5:30pm in the Quad |
