Foundation Reaches out to Alumni

For the first time ever, Moorpark College alumni will receive a year-end giving solicitation from the Moorpark College Foundation. The students who completed 30 or more units between 1981 and 2001 were located through Harris Connect-- an alumni relations search firm. The foundation mailing includes a letter of re-introduction to the college from President Pam Eddinger and a choice of three donation programs, the President’s Circle (for gifts of $1000 or more,) the Osher Matching Gift campaign (sponsored by the Foundation for California Community Colleges) and the General Giving program. The mailing goes out next month.

Moorpark College has also undertaken another strategy to reach alumni. Moorpark is a participant in the statewide initiative called Affinity. Affinity is collaboration of the Foundation for California Community Colleges and the Network of California Community College Foundations. Moorpark has a custom 2-page spread in Affinity Magazine. Moorpark has received 1000 copies of the magazine and the college’s spread will be posted sometime this year on the web at AffinityOnline .org
