Moorpark College Foundation Hosts Theatre Fundraiser 10/24
The Skin of Our Teeth, by Thornton Wilder will be presented from October 22 to November 1 at Moorpark College.
On Saturday, October 24, however the Moorpark College Foundation will host a gala reception prior to show time which is open to members of the community over 21 with advance ticket purchase.
The $150 per person ticket price includes a 6 pm cocktail* and appetizer reception on the third floor of the Library.
The Library has a 180-degree view of the Conejo Valley and sunset up there is spectacular!
The reception closes at 7:30 pm to allow patrons ample time to be seated in the VIP section of the MC Performing Arts Center for an 8 pm curtain. Tickets are available at the MC Business Office in the Administration Building or by calling the Box office at 378-1485 and request the 10/24 Foundation reception package.
According to theatre arts instructor John Loprieno, “Thornton Wilder's The Skin of Our Teeth is a classic American comedy that has managed to retain its relevance.” Wilder published this play in 1943 and said "it mostly comes alive under conditions of crisis." “Our recent economic upheaval provides the crisis that makes The Skin of Our teeth hit home today, Loprieno said.
Hollywood casting director Eileen Kennedy is directing the play. |
