To honor Moorpark Collegešs 40th anniversary, 1967-2007, the Foundation matched all donations made to scholarship funds during the 2007-2008 academic year.
Among the new scholarships established were: the Psychology and History
department scholarships, the Sullivan Family scholarships for broadcasting
and interior design and the Karkare Family scholarship for Biotechnology.
At year end, staff and friends of Moorpark College had donated $66,000 to scholarship funds. This amount was matched by the foundation by moving money from the foundation's unrestricted accounts to scholarship accounts. The net result is that $132,000 was put aside for student scholarships during the college's 40th anniversary.
This is the most successful campaign the Foundation has ever run.
