An American Historical Fantasy showcases four artists whose work conflates historical personages and happenings creating a skewed version of American history. When these artists use history as a medium they do so abstractly, expanding the possibilities of variance in factual account keeping by intentionally twisting events. This activity emphasizes the extent of subjectivity at work in the construction of a historical narrative.
Gallery Hours: Monday-Thursday 9 a.m.-7 p.m. and Friday 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
Gallery Location: Moorpark College Administration Bldg (A), 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.
