Representatives from nearly 40 colleges and universities will be on hand Tuesday, October 2, to help hundreds of students decide where to complete their education.
The annual Transfer Day brings representatives from state and private schools and technical institutes to provide students with information on admission requirements, specialized degree programs, financial aid, housing and more. The event is free and open to the public and takes place on the Campus Center Quad from 10 am to 1 pm. Daily parking is $1.
More than 1,000 students each year transfer from Moorpark College to a four-year college or university. Of the 109 California Community Colleges, Moorpark College is ranked in the top 10 for transfers to the University of California and in the top 20 for transfers to the California State University campuses each year. However based on enrollment, (community colleges with 12,000 to 15,000 students) Moorpark College is number one in the state for transfers to the UC and CSU systems combined.
Moorpark College students who successfully complete transfer pathways are guaranteed admission to the University of California- at Davis, Irvine, Los Angeles, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz; and to the California State University- at Channel islans, Northridge, Sonoma, and San Bernadino. And students can apply for transfer to any UC, CSU or independent university of their choice after completing 56-60 units at Moorpark College

The Career/Transfer Center is open Monday through Friday in the Administration Building and provides transfer planning, individual meetings with college and university admissions representatives, college and university campus tours, as well as transfer application and financial aid workshops.
