Softball
Softball defeats Hancock College. The Lady Raiders defeated visiting Allan Hancock College, 1-3. Nicole Wheeler pitched a complete game to get the win. Bonnie Ward went 2 for 3 with a RBI and Brittany Alfino went 2 for 2 with 2 runs scored. Kristen Torres also added a triple and a RBI.
Softball against Glendale. The Lady Raiders were shut out by visiting Glendale College, 0-5. The Lady Raiders only managed to get three hits in the loss. Rachel Thompson was able to get 2 hits, both for doubles. Bonnie Ward pitched a complete game striking out 8 batters.
Softball against Canyons. The Lady Raiders were defeated by College of the Canyons, 5-9. The Lady Raider's Kristen Torres went 3 for 4, with a double and scored twice. Crystal Bingham also went 3 for 4 with 3 RBIs and a run scored. Rachel Thompson went 2 for 3.
Softball loses to LA Valley. The Lady Raiders had five errors that led to all of Valley's runs as they lose 3-4. Bonnie Ward and Natasha Soedjadi each had two hits. Nicole Wheeler pitched a complete 9 inning game.
Softball against Bakersfield. The Lady Raiders defeated visiting Bakersfield College, 3-2. With the score 0-2, the Lady Raider's Kristen Torres drove in 3 runs in the bottom of the 4th and Nicole Wheeler shut down any idea of a Bakersfield rally.
Softball gets win. The Lady Raiders were given a forfeit win over Santa Monica due to lack of players for the Lady Corsairs.
Softball at Mt San Jacinto Quad. The Lady Raiders traveled to Mt San Jacinto College for a day of softball. The Lady Raiders went 1-2. They were defeated by powers Palomar College, 1-6 and Long Beach City College, 0-8, in the second game. In the third game, the Lady Raiders defeated Imperial Valley, 11-4.In the Palomar game, Kristen Torres had a double, as the Lady Raiders scattered 5 hits for the game. In the Long Beach game, the Lady Raiders only had one hit in the loss. In the Imperial Valley game, the Lady Raiders were led by Kristen Torres and Natasha Soedjadi as they both had 4 hits. Torres added 3 RBIs and 2 runs as Crystal Bingham got the win.
Softball vs LA Mission. The Lady Raiders were defeated by LA Mission College, 2-9. Bonnie Ward went 2 for 3 with a RBI. Kristen Torres and Ariella Ortiz each had a double in the loss.
Softball at Citrus. The Lady Raiders were defeated by host Citrus College, 1-10. The Citrus pitching staff scattered 3 Raider hits. It was the WSC opener for both schools.
Softball takes on Riverside. The Lady Raiders were defeated by power Riverside College, 4-2. Brittany Gonzalez hit her second home run of the season. Crystal Bingham, Breanna Palacio, and Brooke Oatman each had two hits in the loss.
Softball defeats Rio Hondo. The Lady Raiders defeated Rio Hondo College, 6-0. Crystal Bingham pitched five shutout innings to pick up her first win and also collected two doubles, two runs scored and one RBI. Brittany Gonzalez turned a line drive into a triple play by making the catch, touching second and throwing out the runner at first.
Softball splits. The Softball season opener was not a good one as the Lady Raiders were defeated by Rancho Santiago canyon College, 0-3. Bonnie Ward pitched a 4 hitter in the loss. The Lady came back 3 days later and defeated Chaffey College, 4-1. Brittany Gonzales went 2 for 4 with a double and a home run.Bonnie Ward pitched a complete and added a 2 run home run to help her cause.
Softball Season delayed. Due the rainy weather, the first week of the softball season was either postponed or canceled. The games with Pasadena and Victor Valley have been rescheduled for a later date. The Rancho Santiago game was resheduled for Friday, February 1st.
