Kathryn Adams co-chaired “Year of Self and Society,” was accepted as a delegate and attended the World Innovation Summit in Education in Qatar (November 2012). She also recently co-authored two articles:

Dale Bailes: An interview with Dale provides the focus of "The Counter Culture as Local Culture," one of the chapters in Rebellion in Black and White, an education/history textbook from Johns Hopkins Press.
David Birchman co-chaired the Program portion of Multicultural Day; and served as captain of Team MC, which will represent Moorpark College at this year's NAMIWalk (National Alliance on Mental Illness).
Jessica Hasson hosted a Transfer Student Success Workshop for community colleges and CSU in Ventura County District and received the CSUCI Islas Academy Fellowship.

Also, one of her short stories is a finalist in the Katherine Anne Porter Fiction Prize (through Nimrod Int'l Journal).
Jerry Mansfield is the new Faculty Chair of the Curriculum Committee. He also won the 2013 Card Player Magazine Poker Tour Deep-stack Championship at the Bicycle Casino.
Diane Scrofano was selected to participate in UCLA Writing Project and continues to serve as ECCTYC Region 6 representative.
Nils Slattum continues to co-chair new faculty orientation.
