Wireless Improvement Project
MC Wireless Improvement Project First Phase Completed!! - Moorpark College has completed the first phase of upgrading it's wireless infrastructure that will provide students and staff the ability to connect to areas on campus like never before. The second phase of the project which includes providing coverage to our outdoor open areas throughout campus.
Projected completion date of first phase: Monday, March 2nd, 2009
Projected completion date of second phase (external areas) - May 4th, 2009

VCCCD Wireless setup for XP using Dell utility - User guide

December 2008 - Received access points from vendor to start initial testing phase of the rollout. One access point installed and tested in Fountain Hall (FH).
January 2009 (week of 1/12) - Installed wireless devices in the Library and Learning Resources Building that includes two on each floor to provide maximum wireless coverage.
February 2009 (week of 2/02) - Currently 12 access points have been installed in Fountain Hall (FH), Library Learning and Resources building (LLR), Admininstration building (A), Physical Sciences (PS), and Campus Center (CC).
February 2009 (week of 2/16) - Installed access points in Administration building (PCR), Communications building (south hallway), Performing Arts building (east hallway & main stage), Learning/Library Resources building (OAL area) and Campus Center Conference room.
March 2009 (week of 3/2) - Completed phase one of the project which consists of 36 APs (access points) that service intra-building environments. For detailed information and building coverage area please see diagram listed above.
