Students must complete the Orientation and Pretesting which occur during the first weeks of the semester. All students are required to complete the Orientation within the first week of their enrollment. (See the Schedule of Hours for Orientation and Testing Schedule). Once the Orientation is completed, students begin working out in the Fitness Center during any scheduled time it is open to complete course work. PE M02A: Body Conditioning, Fitness Lab

Students must fulfill a required number of grade visits during the Fitness Lab open hours. These visits are completed at the students' convenience. The number of visits completed, along with other requirements, will determine the final grade. The Fitness Center open hours vary each semester.

Fit Lab students are expected to dress appropriately for activity. Street clothes are not permitted. Clothing that has zippers, buttons, snaps, belt buckles or other hardware is not acceptable. Denim clothing is not permitted. The instructor on duty reserves the right to ask a student who is not abiding by the dress requirements to change clothes or leave for the day.

Community Service (Fitness Lab does not accept audits):
In lieu of auditing students may enter the Fitness Lab by enrolling in the Community Services program. Community Services students do not receive units or a grade. The fee for this program is $50.00 per semester, paid to the Business Office. Fee receipts need to be returned to the Fitness Lab instructor to be added into the computer. Community Services students must attend a Fitness Lab Orientation.
