CTE DAY for HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

 

CTE Day invites local high school students to Moorpark College to learn about the Career and Technical Education programs offered across the campus. CTE Day gives students the chance to hear about the innovation and excellence that exists within Moorpark College’s CTE programs, while raising awareness of the crucial role that CTE plays in readying students for careers and economic success. During the day, students will view demonstrations, participate in hands-on activities, and talk to faculty and student representatives about Moorpark College’s CTE programs.

 

8:00am – 8:45am         Arrivals

           

9:00am – 9:30am         Keynote Speaker - Dr. Tiffany Morse, Executive Director of Career Education, Ventura County Office of Education

           

9:30am – 9:45am         Deputy Navigators, Paula Hodge, Information Communication Technologies & Digital Media and John Cordova, Health Workforce Initiative

           

9:45am – 10:00am       Guided Path to Success, First-Year Experience Presentation

           

10:00am – 12:00pm    CTE Program Demonstrations

           

12:00pm – 1:00pm      Lunch and Meet/Greet with CTE Faculty and Staff in Raiders Quad
