Programs and Fees
Mooorpark Child Development Center offers part day programs in the morning Monday - Friday in the morning and part time programs in the afternoon Monday - Thursday. You may choose 2, 3, 4 or 5 days per week to attend the program. We serve children ages 2 - 5 years of age.
Children beginning our program at age 2, will focus on social and emotional growth, beginning math and literacy concepts, hands on science, sensory, art, manipulatives and other age appropriate experiences.
Children in the three – five year classes remain in the same classroom throughout their time in the program. This practice of Mixed Age Grouping is supported through research as an effective way to meet the varying developmental needs of all children. Additionally, the continuity of care allows teachers, families, and children to develop close, supportive relationships throughout their two years together at the Center. After assignment to a three – five year old classroom, children will only be reassigned to another classroom if the family needs to change from the morning to afternoon, or afternoon to morning. Our mixed age classes focus on a brain-based program of learning where everything presented in the classroom to the child has purpose toward future academic growth and success.
As we are a demonstration site of best practices in the field of Early Childhood Education, our classes at the CDC are comprised of several mixed-age groupings of children. We offer one class of children ages two – three years and several classes of three- to five- year-old children, including children with disabilities or other special needs as is appropriate. It is our goal that all families experience a sense of belonging and support in our program.
