Programs and Fees
PROGRAM FOR PRESCHOOLERSChildren MUST be 3 years to 5 years old by December 1 of the school year. All classes are mixed-age grouping. Children must attend one of the following scheduled programs -- Option 1: Monday/Wednesday/Friday; OR Tuesday/Thursday; OR Monday through Thursday; OR Monday through Friday; Option 2: Monday/Wednesday; OR Tuesday/Thursday; OR Monday through Thursday. Snack is provided during the morning and afternoon program. The tuition and fee schedule is attached. Option 1: Morning Program 2 Days/Week: Tuesday, Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 12 Noon 3 Days/Week: Mon., Wed., Fri. 9:00 a.m. - 12 Noon 4 Days/Week: Mon. through Thurs. 9:00 a.m. - 12 Noon 5 Days/Week: Mon. through Fri. 9:00 a.m. - 12 Noon Enhancements to Morning Program for an Extra Fee Early Care Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Lunch Period Monday through Friday (Children bring their lunch or lunch will be available to order for an extra fee.) 12 Noon to 1:00 p.m. Option 2: Afternoon Program Children bring their lunch or lunch will be available to order for an extra fee. 2 Days/Week: Monday, Wednesday 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. 2 Days/Week: Tuesday, Thursday 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. 4 Days/Week: Mon. through Thursday 12:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Enhancement to Afternoon Program for an Extra Fee Extended Care Mon. through Thursday 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** **** Enhancements to Morning Program: Option 3: Partial Day (To be used along with Option 1 and Available by Priority of Parent Status and Teacher Staffing as Outlined Below under "Policy"). The hours for Partial Days are as follows: Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Friday w/Lunch Period 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Option 4: Full Day (To be used along with Option 1 and Available by Priority of Parent Status and Teacher Staffing as Outlined Below under "Policy"). The hours for Full Days are as follows: Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Friday w/Lunch Period 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Policy - Parents who carry a unit load of 12 units or more are given priority as mandated by the State Chancellor's office, followed in order by parents carrying fewer than 12 units, staff, faculty, and community. The number of spaces available is contingent on availability of staff. TUITION AND PAYMENTSWe are grateful to Moorpark College for its support of the Child Development Laboratory. This continued funding allows us to offer reduced fees to students, faculty and staff. Children's tuition* vary based on the status of his/her parent(s). The tuition is as follows:
A pick-up late fee will be applied for children not picked up from school on time. A breakdown of the fee appears in the handbook. *Tuition and Fees subject to change. A contract will be completed when you register your child. Tuition is paid monthly at the Moorpark College Business Office or by mail-in coupon. Scholarship opportunities are available to residents of Moorpark and Simi Valley through First 5 Moorpark/Simi Valley Neighborhood for Learning. Please call (805) 552‑1944 or (805) 582-1214 for further information. If you make your payment at the Business Office, you MUST bring a copy of your receipt to the CDL office in order to assure your account is credited. If you mail your tuition with a completed coupon, the Business Office notifies us of your payment. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged if your account is not paid after the 5th day of the due date. If the tuition is not paid on time, your child will not be able to attend. APPLICATION AND ENROLLMENT PROCEDURES1. Applications are available from the CD Laboratory reception desk, online at moorparkcollege.edu/cdc or phone (805)378‑1401. Due to limited space, applications need to be completed well in advance of the expected enrollment date. 2. Completed applications should be returned promptly. They are filed in the order in which they are received. 3. You will be notified when a space is available for your child. A nonrefundable $100.00 registration fee for programs for preschoolers will be required at the time of enrollment. Fifty dollars will be applied toward the first monthly payment. Enrollment of the child will be considered official only when a parent has completed and returned the child's enrollment and health forms to the CDL and has paid the first scheduled tuition amount.
TODDLERS PROGRAMThe toddlers program meets on Fridays. There are two sessions: the first is from 9:00am-10:20am; the second is from 11:00am- 12:20pm. Toddlers must be 18 months to 3 years old by the time of entrance. This is a dual program for children and a parent who is enrolled in the CD M60A - Toddlers Program class. Registration for this course requires prior pre-registration arrangements through the CDC. Fees* vary based on the status of the child's parent(s). They are as follows:
