HOW TO CITE, IN APA FORM, AN ARTICLE
OUT OF A FULL-TEXT DATABASE SUBSCRIBED
TO BY THE MOORPARK COLLEGE LIBRARY
When using an article reprinted in one of our electronic indexes, you will cite it in a way that lets your reader know precisely where you found the information. The following are some examples of suggested methods of citation you may want to use in your "References" page:
- Author. (date). Title of the article. Name of the periodical, vol. number, pages.
Retrieved (date you viewed the article), from (name of the electronic index) database.
If you used the InfoTrac OneFile:
Here is an example of a citation to a full-text journal article:
- Dixon, C. (2004). Plus/minus grading: If given a choice. College Student Journal
38, 280. Retrieved March 10, 2005, from InfoTrac OneFile database.
If you used eLibrary:
Here is an example of a citation to a full-text magazine article:
- Fisher, A. (2003, July 7). I'm working as hard as I can, but it's not enough for my boss.
Fortune, 148, 154. Retrieved March 10, 2005, from eLibrary database.
If you used Proquest National Newspapers:
Here is an example of a citation to a full-text newspaper article:
