MLA Format

HOW TO CITE, IN MLA FORM, AN ARTICLE OUT OF A
FULL-TEXT DATABASE SUBSCRIBED TO BY THE
MOORPARK COLLEGE LIBRARY

When using an article reprinted in one of our electronic indexes, you will cite it in a way that lets your reader know precisely where you found the information. The following are some examples of suggested methods of citation you may want to use in your "Works Cited" page:

Author. "Title of the article." Name of the periodical vol. number (date): pages.

Name of the electronic index, Who subscribes to it, Date the article was
viewed <web address>.

If you used the InfoTrac OneFile:

Here is an example of a citation to a full-text journal article:

Dixon, Chip. "Plus/Minus Grading: If Given a Choice." College Student Journal 38

(2004): 280. InfoTrac OneFile, Moorpark College Library, Moorpark, CA. 9 March 2005. <http://www.infotrac.galegroup.com>

If you used eLibrary:

Here is an example of a citation to a full-text magazine article:

Fisher, Anne. "I'm Working As Hard As I Can, but It's Not Enough for My Boss." Fortune,

7 July 2003: 154. eLibrary, Moorpark College Library, Moorpark, CA. 9 March 2005. <http://elibrary.bigchalk.com>

If you used Proquest National Newspapers:

Here is an example of a citation to a full-text newspaper article:

Ginsberg, Steven, and Carol Morello. "As Hybrid Cars Multiply, So Do Carpooling Gripes."

Washington Post 7 January 2005: A1. Proquest National Newspapers, Moorpark College Library, Moorpark, CA. 9 March 2005. <http://proquest.umi.com>
