Getting Started (0 units): At this stage, I will be able to:
- Identify options available at Moorpark College
- Apply for admission
- Take an online math & English assessment
- Complete an orientation
- Register for classes
- Identify options for financing my education
The First 15 (0 to 15 units): At this stage, I will be able to:
- Understand the Student Code of Conduct
- Identify appropriate courses
- Identify my personal learning needs and the services that support me
- Keep current with my college accounts (fees, email, course studio, registration, etc…)
- Access the Library and Learning Resources (on-campus and online)
- Identify campus resources for health and emergencies
Making Progress (16 to 30 units): At this stage, I will be able to:
- Identify an area of interest (major, certificate, area of emphasis, etc.)
- Develop a Student Education Plan
- Meet with professors during their office hours
- Use resources in the Learning Center and Library to develop my skills
- Evaluate information sources for academic or professional use
- Attend a campus event
- Check my health
Moving Forward (31 to 45 units): At this stage, I will be able to:
- Identify career, transfer, or graduation options
- Apply for transfer or seek professional internships
- Apply learning strategies and skills to succeed in college
- Maintain academic standards of achievement, honesty, and integrity
- Update my Student Education Plan
Graduation Transition (46 to 60 units): At this stage, I will be able to:
- Complete transfer requirements
- Petition for graduation
- Apply for financial aid or scholarships for transfer
- Develop a resume and portfolio
- Search for employment
- Effectively use information in academic or professional work
Lifetime Learning (61 units and beyond): At this stage, I will be able to:
- Demonstrate and apply skills for lifelong learning
- Attend, organize, or volunteer for a Moorpark College event
- Join the alumni organization and/or support the Moorpark College Foundation
- Access Moorpark College personal development options beyond graduation and transfer
- Apply what I have learned at Moorpark College to contribute to society
