Basic Admissions Requirements

60 UC Transferable units which includes the following seven course pattern:

4 courses (3 semester units minimum for each course) chosen from at least two of the following IGETC areas:

Arts & Humanities (Area 3)

Social & Behavioral Sciences (Area 4)

Physical & Biological Sciences (Area 5)

(The three courses below are the essential courses)

2 courses in English Composition:  One course from Area 1A & any one course from Area 1B (Area 1)

1 course from Mathematical Concepts & Quantitative Reasoning (Area 2)

Minimum GPA: 2.4

Campus	60 Semester Units	Seven Course Pattern This includes the essential English and math courses
Berkeley	by the end of Spring	by the end of Spring
Davis	by the end of Spring	by the end of Spring
Irvine	prior to enrollment	prior to enrollment; except English and math which must be completed by spring
Los Angeles	by the end of Spring	by the end of Spring
Merced	prior to enrollment	by the end of Spring
Riverside	prior to enrollment	prior to enrollment
San Diego	by the end of Spring	by the end of Spring
Santa Barbara	by the end of Spring	by the end of Spring
Santa Cruz	prior to enrollment	by the end of Spring
Please note that it is highly recommended that students complete all the basic admissions requirements by the end of spring for fall admissions, even if the university is allowing a student to complete basic requirements "prior to enrollment."  Also, the following UC campuses admit transfer students only in the Fall:  UC Berkeley, UCLA, & UC San Diego.

In addition, many of the campuses screen for completion of major preparation as part of the admission process. The university will accept a maximum of 70 UC transferable semester units from the community college.

While eligible students can be admitted to any campus of UC, Moorpark College has a Transfer Admissions Guarantee program that has special transfer admission agreements with several UC Campuses. For more information, visit the TAG website.
