Rendezvous at the Zoo..!

Our 5th Year Celebration..!    (Click on the link above, to purchase tickets..)

An evening of “friendraising” under the stars. This event will combine wild animal encounters, wine and hors d’oeuvres with a silent auction on the sprawling terrace of the beautiful Exotic Animal Training and Management building. Join us to honor Platinum Paw Award recipients Dr. Laurie Marker, Founder and Director of the Cheetah Conservation Fund, and Dr. Kim Hoffmans, Vice President of Ventura College and former Dean of the “EATM” program and zoo.

We celebrate 5 years of Rendezvous at the Zoo with our new partners Malibu Wine Safari.   Come enjoy this unique event, it’s guaranteed to be a ROAR of a good time!

October 13th, 2016 (5:15-9:00pm)      Zoo Tours begin at 5:15

Tickets $55 until October 12th at midnight, $70 at the door

Guests must be 21 and over to attend.     Food and drinks included.       Business casual attire preferred.

Boo at the Zoo:
America’s Teaching Zoo at Moorpark College hosts our annual “Boo at the Zoo” event on October 29th and 30th  2016,  from 11 a.m.to 5 p.m. Entry fee is $8 for adults and $6 for children 3-12. Less than 2 years of age are free!

Each child in costume will receive a Zoo BINGO card upon entry. When all squares are filled they head to the kids fun zone and receive a bag o’ treats! There will also be animal shows, costume contest, a parade at 3 p.m., face painting, games, and not-so-spooky decorations throughout the zoo.

 

 

Ira’s Birthday Party:

Every campus has a king!  Moorpark College has IRA the lion, “King of the Campus”. Join us February 4th 2017, as we celebrate IRA’s 3rd birthday with a WILD party at America’s Teaching Zoo. Guests of this party will sing “Happy Birthday” to IRA as he claws and bites into his presents.  All party guests will get a piece of birthday cake and kids can make crowns to wear for this royal event!

 

 

Spring Spectacular:

These fun filled weekends are America’s Teaching Zoo’s biggest showcase of the year! Animal presentations produced by our dedicated students highlight the very best of what the Exotic Animal Training and Management program has to offer. Come out for food, fun and furry friends! VIP Tours, a Kids Zone and guest animal celebrities are sure to be a hit with our guests!    March 25, 26, April 1, 2  of 2017.

VIP tours at 12:45 and 2:45 

Join us for a behind the scenes tour of the inner working of a zoo! Interact with some of the animals only seen from the back and learn how we train, feed are care for over 130 exotic animals everyday. The number of guests is limited to 15 for each tour and there is  $7 fee for the tour. Please let us know at the front gate if you would like to join in!
