Mingle with our faculty and staff as you enjoy a delicious lunch from The Habit! Play one of our lawn games or answer trivia from the Radio station for a chance to win a prize.

Student services departments and academic departments will showcase opportunities available to you as a Moorpark College student.

Campus Tour- Get help finding your classes and learn about the most important buildings on campus to guarantee your success on campus.

Career Exploration- Learn strategies you can use to explore majors that will lead to a career and major decisions.

Study Techniques for College Students - A highly motivating session on how to study more effectively for even the most rigorous college courses. 

Financial Wellness-“Increasing your Budgeting & Credit IQ” Money Management Tips to help you take control of your finances

Managing your Time- Learn from Peer educators on growing college-level skills to manage college-level writing and reading expectations

Student Activities-  Come hear about the different ways you can get involved in student life on campus to make your experience at Moorpark College more meaningful: 

Student Panel- Find out from current students what has helped them stay on track to graduate and what they wish they had known during their first semester here at Moorpark College. 

Transfer 101- Ensure your transfer success! Come learn about competitive transfer requirements, transfer guarantee admissions and more!

Navigating Success in College- Find out what the top 10 things you need to do as a college student to ensure success and many other helpful tips.

 

*Parents: You are welcome to attend the event.  We also encourage you to take advantage of the Campus Resource Fair, which will highlight the many offices, departments, and student clubs that are available to ensure the success of your student while they are attending Moorpark College.  

Directions to Moorpark College

  • From Simi Valley and the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles area:Take the 118 Freeway west to the first exit in Moorpark, Collins Drive. Turn right onto Collins. Turn right at the traffic light onto Campus Road and proceed up the hill to the parking structure.
  • From Thousand Oaks:Take the 23/118 Freeway to the Collins Drive exit in Moorpark. Turn left onto Collins. Stay on Collins until the second traffic light, Campus Road. Turn right onto Campus Road and proceed to the parking structure.
  • From Western Ventura County: Go South on the 101 Freeway. Exit onto the 23/118 Freeway going North. Take the 118 Freeway to the Collins Drive exit in Moorpark. Turn left onto Collins. Stay on Collins until the second traffic light, Campus Road. Turn right onto Campus Road and proceed to the parking structure.

Parking

Parking for the New Student Welcome is FREE in Lot A, B, and C only.  All other parking lots will require a permit. If you would like a printable version of the map, please click here.
