Getting Calculus Ready

Starting Fall 2026, Math M24 + M24S replaces the traditional 6-unit precalculus course (Math M07). 
This new precalculus course pairing is designed to give you the preparation needed to transition successfully into Calculus I.

The Moorpark College Mathematics Department redesigned the precalculus experience using innovative practices such as:
• Dedicated Tutor Support, ready to help when you need it.
• 2 hours each week of guided practice, activities, and games that reinforce key ideas
• Zero textbook costs (ztc) Including online lecture videos and notes
• Multiple opportunities to master concepts and improve understanding
• Online lecture videos and notes for additional review outside class
• Smaller class sizes to support learning and collaboration

The pairing provides 5 hours per week of instruction, guided practice, and activities.
