MARTIN LUTHER KING JR DAY ON OF SERVICE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED
With inclement weather forecasted Saturday through Monday, Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District will be unable to host service projects within the community. However, we’d like to invite you and your family to participate in a brief gathering from 8:30am – 9:30am to honor Dr. King, enjoy light refreshments, including coffee, bagels, No additional registration is necessary, we hope you can join us as we honor Dr. King’s legacy, and his message of service. We thank you for your commitment to community. 

 

Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District is hosting our 2nd annual National Day of service...to honor Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy and commitment to citizenship through service to others. The event will commence at 8:15am at Strathearn Historical Park. Volunteers are invited to enjoy a light breakfast of donuts and coffee. After that point volunteers will report to their assigned locations.
PLEASE NOTE: RAIN CANCELS EVENT.

Volunteer service projects will begin approximately at 9:00 am and are estimated to last  2-3 hours depending upon amount of assistance and project. Projects will include painting, graffiti removal and trail work resulting in beautification, restoration and park enhancement.
