President's Welcome
Welcome to Moorpark College, the bridge to your future.
We are a publicly supported community college, providing open access higher education to the citizens of Ventura County and beyond. Our students come from all walks of life, from recent high school graduates, adults attending college for the first time, professionals renewing skills, to workers seeking new career paths.
The goals of our students are also diverse: many transfer to universities; just as many train for a career; some are returning to further their career after a number of years in the workplace.
The mission of our nearly 400 faculty and staff is to meet every need by encouraging education and career planning, fostering independent learning, and offering resources and support to accomplish your goals.
As you progress in your learning journey, you will find a variety of programs and services to ease your way. There are services to support your learning, such as academic counseling, tutoring, financial aid, and scholarships. There are programs to keep your mind-body connection sound, such as Student Health Services and Physical Education classes. There are opportunities to enrich your experience, such as learning communities, performing arts, student government, intercollegiate athletics, and our nationally known forensics team.
You are also free to create your own bridge to your future - start a club, take on an issue, educate your peers.
At Moorpark College, we anticipate each stage of your learning journey by providing support, and pointing the way. We hope you will take advantage of the opportunities here. We welcome you, and look forward to your success.
