Child Development Center

Child Development Center Moorpark College has a Child Development Center. preschool program available for children of the community, registered students, faculty,and  staff. This facility is located in the Child Development Center Building on campus.   

The Child Development Center (CDC) offers a comprehensive half day childcare program for pre-schoolers and toddlers in both the morning and early afternoon.

This program enhances the cognitive, social, emotional and physical development of children through age appropriate educational and enrichment programs including science, writing and the arts.

The CDC is licensed by the State of California (lic # 561710611), is accredited by the National Association of Education for Young Children, and provides a laboratory experience for the students majoring in Child Development. 

The CDC follows the Moorpark College calendar. The Fall semester begins in mid-August and ends  in mid-December. The Spring semester begins in mid-January and ends in mid-May.  In addition we observe the same holiday schedule as the college with the addition of two staff development days each year, as well as the entire week off during the week of Thanksgiving. Business hours during the fall and spring semesters are Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
