Life Threatening Situations

Call 911 or Campus Police, 805-378-1455

o    Give the nature and exact location of the accident or medical/psychological emergency
o    Do not move the victim, unless to prevent further injury

 

Non-Life threatening Situations

Call the Student Health Center, 805-378-1413

o    If the student Health Center is closed or a nurse is unavailable, call Campus Police, 805-378-1455 (Note: First Aid is available from Campus Police when the Student Health Center is closed)
o    Give the nature and exact location of the accident or illness

Please report ALL student college-related injuries, within 72 hours of occurrence, to the Student Health Center. Forms are available in the Student Health Center, the Evening Attendant's office, or from Campus Police.  Accident reports are essential to process Insurance Claims; both are processed through the Student Health Center.  Once an accident report is received that requires an Insurance Claim, the student will be given information about the college's insurance coverage and the billing procedures.  An injury resulting from an illness is not covered by the college insurance, but it still needs to be reported to the Student Health Center. Moorpark College Insurance coverage for college related injuries is limited, and it does not guarantee payment in full.

To report an emergency, notify Campus Police/Dispatch at extension 1455. Emergency phones are available in parking lots A, B, C, the observatory lot and in front of the Campus Police Office. Pay phones are also capable of contacting Campus Police/Dispatch.
