CARE Program
COOPERATIVE AGENCIES RESOURCES FOR EDUCATION (CARE) is a state
funded program designed to assist single parents receiving Aid to
Families with Dependent Children (AFDC) with child care expenses
while they pursue a college education.
CARE SERVICES INCLUDE:
- Educational and Personal counseling
- Single parent workshops
- Child care grant
- Book and supply grant
- Campus parking permit
TO QUALIFY FOR CARE YOU MUST BE:
- A single parent with at least one child under the age of six
- An AFDC recipient for at least one consecutive year
- A full time student (12 or more units)
- Apply for Financial Aid
- Eligible for participation in the EOPS Program.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR EOPS YOU MUST:
- Be California resident
- Be member of a low income family
- Be a full time student (12 or more units)
- Be disadvantaged by language, social and/or educational barriers
- Have completed less than 70 units
