Learning Resources are available to Moorpark College students at no cost. These resources are provided by The Learning Center, The Math Center and the Writing Center, and include tutoring/ individual consultations, workshops, print materials, learning software, and video, DVD and CD-Rom instructional materials. To receive tutoring, current students need to enroll in COL M05, a non-credit course that is free to students enrolled in other Moorpark College courses.
Please have your student ID number with you when you arrive in order to sign-in for these services.
The Learning Center provides tutoring (drop-in and by appointment) and learning resources in many academic disciplines. Appointments can be made to see an Anthropology tutor by clicking this link and selecting "anthropology tutor" from the "consultant" list.
The Math Center provides drop-in tutoring for individuals and groups, workshops, and media resources including on-line accessible learning programs. For further information, contact Brendan_Purdy@vcccd.edu .
The Writing Center provides writing and study/reading guidance across the curriculum through consultations (tutorials), workshops, print materials, and media resources, including on-line accessible learning programs. For individual consultations/tutoring, appointments are recommended. Appointments are 45 minutes. We ask that students make no more than one appointment per day and no more than 2 appointments per week (maximum of 12 appointments per semester). On-line writing tutoring is available by appointment or during on-line drop-in hours (see COL MO5 below). To schedule an appointment, click this link.
