Join us for New Student Welcome, an opportunity to connect with fellow students, learn about campus resources, and explore your Area of Interest (AOI) before the semester begins.

Please note: New Student Welcome is not an orientation event and is not required for new students.

No, however this is an excellent way to learn about the campus, resources, and services. You will meet staff, faculty, and possibly even new friends! We encourage you to join us for this semester kick-off.

Each field of study offered at Moorpark College falls into a category called Area of Interest (AOI). You can view our website to explore our areas and to find where your field of study falls into: Area of Interest webpage

No worries. Students who are undecided can select the Exploratory area of interest (AOI). You can learn more about Exploratory on our website.

Students who have multiple areas of interest should select one AOI for the purposes of attending an area of interest session.

For guests driving personal vehicles, we recommend parking in Lot 20 or 21. Parking permits will not be required during the New Student Welcome events on August 3^rd and August 5^th

Please be advised that parking permits will be required for the Fall semester that starts August 10, 2026.

If you cannot attend, it's ok! This is not an orientation event, and is not required for new students. It is a welcome event to kick off the school year, get to know faculty and staff, and explore the student services we offer.

If you’d like to explore the campus before classes begin, we encourage you to join a campus tour! Tours are available Monday through Thursday at 10:30 AM and 1:30 PM.
