Workshops for College Success

The Learning, Math, and Writing Centers all offer workshops that are free and open to the public.  Reservervations are not required.

The Math Center offer workshops for everything from reviews of math basics to preparations forcourses beyond transfer.  To find out about the schedule of Math Workshops, visit the Math Center website or stop by LLR 322.

The Writing (and Reading) Center offers workshops on writing skills required for courses across the curriculum.  From sessions on the Top % Grammar Errors to sessions on Writing Transfer Essays, there is is a topic for any writing nead. To see the Writing Center Workshop schedule, click this link or stop by the Writing Center.

The Learning Center, in partnership with the Writing (and Reading) Center provides workshops that help students excell in college courses.  Topics include:

• Discovering Your Learning Style
• Academic Time Management
• Taking Lecture Notes
• Decoding Your Textbooks

These topics are scheduled at the start of each semester.  Their dates will be shown within the Writing Center Calendar at that time.
