Hello! My name is Sahand, and I am currently a second-year Computer Science student at Moorpark College. My area of expertise lies in programming, but I also tutor subjects such as calculus, differential equations, and physics. In my free time, I enjoy swimming, playing guitar, exploring outdoors and working on personal projects.

 

Hi, my name is Kanyen. I am currently in my second year at Moorpark studying mathematics. My current goal is to transfer to a 4 year by next year. I am a CET and a math tutor. Hobbies of mine includes lots of sports, one of them being basketball and video games. A fun fact about me is that I can play a bunch of sports.

My name is Austin and I am in my second year at Moorpark College. I am looking to transfer after this year and to double major in Economics and Physics. I tutor most math classes, some physics, and can also help with economics or some basic chemistry if needed. Some hobbies of mine that I really enjoy are playing basketball, watching Formula 1/cars in general, and learning languages/about different cultures. I am currently studying Italian, and also plan to pick up German at some point.

My name is Olivia and I am in my second year at Moorpark College. My major is environmental science, and I’m working towards transferring to a UC. I am currently a course embedded tutor (CET) in college-level algebra. My interests include playing the violin, crocheting, playing video games, and spending time with my Golden Retriever.

Hi everyone! I’m Aiden Liang, a second-year student at Moorpark College. My major is business, but I’d like to help people out in Math the way I can. My future goal is to keep inspiring the people around me until I change the world. I tutor in any math at or below Calc II. I love doing workouts and listening to hip-hop and pop music. Juice Wrld and XXX had taught me how to spread love to the other before they’ve gone. You know you can call me if you need someone, and I’ll always be there for you. Because I'll never let you fall. When you can’t find Aiden in the library, he’s probably self-disciplined again in the corner of the world. 

Hi! My name is Sophie, and I am a pre-nursing student in my second year at Moorpark College. At the center, I tutor general chemistry, biology, pre-calculus, and anatomy. My favorite aspect of tutoring would have to be seeing students gain confidence in concepts that were a little tricky to initially grasp. I myself have experienced this a multitude of times. In the future, I plan to go to nursing school before becoming a nurse practitioner. As a nurse practitioner, I hope to specialize in aesthetics and/or women’s health. In my free time, I enjoy baking, dancing, gaming, and hanging out with family and friends! :-) 

My passions are in teaching and helping others! I have tutored math and stats for several years now, and I find it very rewarding to work with students! I love seeing how students gain a sense of self-confidence and build up their math-esteem through tutoring! When I'm not tutoring, I like to watch Family Feud, play softball or tennis, go hiking, or sing karaoke.

Hi! My name is Andrew, and I'm a current student here at Moorpark College. I'm a CS major, but I love helping out with math. I can tutor in any math at or below Calc II as well as Stats, but I can try to help out with Calc III if the need arises. I hope that we can break down a problem together and build a stronger understanding of the concept!

Hi! My name is Cameron and I'm a second year student at Moorpark College, working towards a degree in Mathematics! I tutor most of the Math and Computer Science courses offered on campus. My favorite part about being a tutor and spreading knowledge is when I can make students enjoy a subject more than when they came into the center! When I'm not tutoring, I like to play video games, draw, and do even more math.

Hello! I’m Ryan, and I’m pleased to be working as a tutor at Moorpark College, where I am also currently a student. I am interested in the field of machine learning and aspire to become a machine learning researcher in the future. I tutor most of the mathematics, physics, and computer science courses that are available on campus. Specifically, I tutor up to Calculus III, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, PHYS M20A and M20B, and all of the computer science major requirement courses. My favorite aspects of tutoring are that it keeps concepts fresh in my mind, and allows me to further understand the material by revisiting these concepts. Additionally, it is very rewarding to see when a student is finally able to understand a concept, and this is my main motivation for tutoring.

Hi all! My name is Cameron and I’m a third year student at Moorpark, currently studying Computer Science and hoping to transfer to study more in the field of machine learning. I am currently a STEM tutor at the Math and Science Center, and focus mostly on math, programming, and physics tutoring. I’ve been working at the tutoring center since late 2021, and I hope to continue helping and teaching students at the center.

Hello my name is Caleb. I am a Chemistry major at Moorpark College and have been tutoring since Spring of 2021. Outside of tutoring and school I like to sleep and mess around with technology.

Hello everyone, I am a biology major and I love to tutor different forms of biology and chemistry! What I like best about being a tutor is helping students fulfill their goals and having a safe space to work on homework. I came to the tutoring center a lot for general chemistry, and I am glad that I can provide the same services tutoring those same subjects!
