Students who are formally admitted into the MESA Program are expected to:
- Attend a mandatory MESA Program Orientation to learn about the program and its resources and services
- Participate in active learning, which can be demonstrated by joining Academic Excellence Workshops (AEWs), engaging in STEM study sessions or study groups. and submitting progress reports and/or Student Educational Plans
- Engage in experiential learning, which can be demonstrated by applying for scholarships, internships, or fellowships; and by participating in field trips, career talks, or other opportunities to be exposed to STEM-related career fields and transfer opportunities
- Continue on a pathway toward transferring to a 4-year university in a STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) major
