What is the difference between meeting with a Counselor vs. meeting with a Success Coach?"

 

 Want to discuss specifics about your education plan, what classes to register for, or how to decide on a major? A Counselor can help you with specifics like choosing your classes, creating an education plan, and helping you declare a major.

Appointment with an FYE Counselor

Request an appointment by e-mailing us at mcfye@vcccd.edu

 Be sure to email us from your VCCCD student email since we cannot process appointment requests from external emails. These appointments are reserved for FYE students only.

When composing the email, please copy-paste the the following information: 

1. Your 900# (Student ID#)

2. Please provide two or more days/times that work for you. The more options you provide us, the faster we can schedule you with our soonest appointment slot. For example: Mondays 1-4,  Wednesdays  anytime after 12pm; Thursdays 2-5.

3. What you hope to discuss

4. Major 

5. Transfer Plans (UC/CSU/Private)

6. Have you attended any colleges besides Moorpark College?

7. Best phone number to reach you

 If an online appointment has been made, download Zoom on your computer or mobile device - alternatively, it can be run in your browser.

Before your appointment, your counselor will provide you with a link and meeting ID to join the Zoom session. Alternatively, they will call you at the time of the appointment.
