Description
VCCCD Faculty and Staff may request the use of Zoom Video Webinars in order to broadcast a Zoom meeting to an audience of up to 1000 "view-only attendees." Compared to Zoom Meetings, Webinars contain a similar interface and familiar features but there are some key differences. While Zoom Meetings are designed for collaboration, Zoom Webinars are designed for a "one-way flow of information" from hosts and/or panelists to attendees. This means that only the host and any designated panelists can share their video, audio and screen. Attendees are "view-only" participants and are not visible or audible during a webinar. However, attendees may interact with hosts and/or panelists via Q&A, Chat, and/or Polls. Additionally, hosts may temporarily un-mute attendees who have "raised their hand" to ask a question or provide a response to a question asked of the audience.
