Moorpark College Foundation showcases MC Journalism program
Moorpark, Calif. (February 22, 2022) – Industry-leading journalists and digital media producers come together as recent graduates from Moorpark College’s Digital Journalism and Public Relations Program to discuss the field’s job prospects and the skills students need for success. The three-member panel features broadcast journalists, beat reporters, and film/TV news producers, who will discuss current industry trends and their tips for securing dream jobs in the digital media field.
“The Moorpark College Digital Journalism & Public Relations program is dedicated to training students in the skill sets that they need to secure a career in the digital media industry,” said journalism faculty member, Kelsey Stuart. “Our prestigious and talented alumni will offer valuable insight into what the field looks like today for our upcoming graduates.”
The web-based presentation from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, is the fourth alumni forum hosted by the Moorpark College Foundation.
Interviewers include Moorpark College’s Media Advisory Board members Roxanne Baker, CEO of Pursuit Media, and Sean Greene, LA Times Senior Data Analyst and Reporter.
Panelists for the Digital Journalism Job Ready Alumni Forum will be:

The Moorpark College Foundation Job Ready Alumni Forum is an open discussion on how alumni found their way to Moorpark College, how the college positioned them for local internships, and workforce preparation, and/or transfer to a four-year university. It explores the relationships that exist between Moorpark College and local industries and how these relationships help students transition into the workforce. The intended audience is current students, returning adult learners in career transition, or community members.
