Health Center;

Moorpark College Health Center now operates online. They now offer their mental health counseling services, which is free for MC Students, through phone or video sessions. Their "counseling staff is comprised of a licensed Psychologist, Marriage Family Therapists, and post- doctoral psychology fellows who are sensitive to your needs." Every Moorpark College student is eligible for this service and it has shown to be very helpful to those in need. Below is a list of commonly discussed issues, but the service is by no means limited to these topics.

  • Anxiety/Stress/Panic Attacks
  • Depression
  • Drug/Alcohol Abuse
  • Eating Disorders
  • Low Self-Esteem
  • Relationship Problems
  • Relaxation Training
  • Sexuality

Food pantries;

The California Department of Education offers their app "CA Meals for Kids" on Apple’s App StoreGoogle’s Play Store, and Microsoft’s App Store.
This app can help you find an incredible amount of food pantries all over California that operate regularly, and emergency food distributions especially for times in extra need.

Moorpark College food pantry;

Ruben Castro Charities, who have been distributing food through Moorpark College to students and families in need, continue to provide their services. They offer pre-packaged bags with a variety of food items to anyone in need, without requirements.
Their food pantry is open at Moorpark College, at the loading dock just behind the bookstore, on Tuesdays at 1pm-3pm and 5pm-7pm.
On Saturdays their service continues at 5700 Condor Drive, Moorpark CA 93021 at 11:15am-12:15am.
