In most cases, your instructor will provide you with a direct link to schedule your testing center appointments.  However, if this is not the case, you may also schedule your appointments using the instructions below.  While the Testing Center does allow drop ins, scheduled appointments are highly recommended. 

Please note, the Testing Center is phasing out its current Appointment Scheduler with a new one during the Fall 2023 term.  Pay close attention to the steps below to schedule your appointment:

1. Open the Appointment Scheduler using the available options below:
   1. Appointments before November 1st, 2023 - Use this appointment scheduler if your test is scheduled between now and October 31st, 2023.
   2. Appointments on/after November 1st, 2023 - Use this appointment scheduler if your test is scheduled on or after November 1st, 2023.  Tests scheduled for October are also included in this appointment scheduler.
2. Select the test matching your CRN and Instructor Name (If the test does not appear in the Appointment Scheduler, select Other/Makeup Test.
3. Select your preferred appointment from the available days and times.
4. Provide your details and additional information.
5. Select the Book Button

NOTE: It is recommended that you take a moment to locate the Library Learning Resources (LL) building on Campus ahead of your test date.  This will avoid tardiness on the date of your scheduled test.

For students with appointments...

Please plan to arrive approximately 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

For students without appointments...

We will do our best to accommodate you based on seating availability.  Please note, drop ins won't be accepted two and half hours before closing.  Additionally, your instructor's exam must have been received by the Testing Center and within the allowed testing window. 

Checking In

During check-in, you will be asked to provide your 900 number and show a picture ID.  Acceptable forms of ID include:

• Moorpark College Student ID (Preferred)
• State issued ID or Driver's License
• Passport

The name on your picture ID must match the name on the appointment.  If you do not have a valid picture ID or your ID does not match the name on the appointment, you will not be permitted to take the test.

Only test taking items that have been permitted by your instructor will be allowed in the Testing Center.  Avoid bringing personal belongings into the Testing Center as these must be stored away from the testing environment for the duration of your test.

Before you are seated, a Proctor will explain time limits, test requirements, expectations, and other instructions as provided by the instructor.  Please note, Proctors are not permitted to make changes to the test or the test instructions.  If you have questions and/or concerns about your test, please contact your instructor directly.

Take a deep breath, you've got this! 

Once you have been seated, a Proctor will signal you to begin and note your start time.  Please note, proctors are unable to answer questions about your test during the testing period.

You will receive a notification from a Proctor when there are five minutes remaining in your allowed test time. 

The testing session will conclude when the student finishes the test or the allowable test time has expired, whichever comes first. 

When your test has concluded, you will return your completed test and all provided testing materials to a Proctor. 

Please note: Proctors are not permitted to grade tests.  For information about your test score and/or grade, please contact your instructor directly.  

Once materials have been returned, you will be permitted to collect any personal belongings you brought into the testing center and quietly exit the building. 

A short time after your appointment has concluded, you may receive an invitation via email to complete a brief survey about your experience in the Testing Center.  The information you share with us anonymously helps inform us about and improve our policies and procedures.  Completing the survey is purely voluntary and will have no impact on your test score.
