The Math, Engineering, Science Achievement (MESA) Program at Moorpark College strives to support educationally and economically disadvantaged students who seek to transfer to 4-year universities as a STEM major. We can't achieve our goals without the support of faculty!
We welcome faculty participation and invite instructors to support our MESA Scholars:
- Lead an Academic Excellence Workshop (AEW), which is a small group activity intended to help students further grasp complex academic topics. Click here to learn more about AEWs.
- Share STEM-related research, internship, job, networking, and/or professional development opportunities.
- Serve as a faculty advisor for a STEM-related student club or organization.
- Encourage students to learn more about the MC MESA Program and to submit a MESA Interest Form.
- Host office hours in the MESA Center (location details coming soon!).
- Invite a MESA Program representative to give a presentation to your class to recruit MESA Scholars.
- Participate in the MESA Campus Council to provide feedback about the MESA Program and to support its planning.
