New Student Open House

Join Moorpark College Outreach for our New Student Open House, an opportunity to learn more about MC before you begin your journey. Connect with programs and services at our Resource Fair and attend informative presentations designed especially for new students. RSVP is required.

Itinerary 

  • 4:30PM-6:00PM -  Resource Fair in Fountain Hall
  • 5:00PM - Presentation: Transfer 101 or Honors Program
  • 5:45PM - Presentation: College Student 101
  • Drop-In Application Assistance

Who this event is intended for 

New Students who will be entering Summer or Fall 2026 and their families.  This is an opportunity to learn about Moorpark College prior to your first semester! 

Presentation Descriptions

  • Transfer 101 Presentation- a general overview of what first semester students should know about the transfer process, the importance of meeting with a counselor to create an Ed Plan, and share the UTC resources and services available to them.
  • Honors Program Presentation - This presentation will share information about how to join the Honors Program at Moorpark College, including benefits,
    program requirements, and UCLA’s Transfer Alliance Program (TAP).
  • College Student 101 Presentation: Learn tips to be successful during your first semester in college. Our Tutoring & Learning Center Tutors will share study skills/time management techniques and success tips
  • Admissions Application Assistance - Assistance can be provided on a drop-in basis to complete a Fall or Summer 2026 application for admissions.

  • Resource Fair will include:  ACCESS, Athletics, Bachelors Degree Programs, Career Center, Dreamers, Dual Enrollment,  EOPS/Calworks/Care, ESL, Financial Aid, Honors Program, Makerspace, MESA, NextUp, PACE, Student Activities/ASMC, Raider Central (Basic Needs), Student Health Center, Student Success Center, Dreamers, Theater Arts, Tutoring Learning Center, Veterans, The Teaching Zoo (Animal Care & Training Program)
