Academic Enrichment Pathway

Accelerate your Education!

This section is only for students in grades K-12 that are self-enrolling into Moorpark College courses for their own academic enrichment without the directive from their K-12 school.

Students in this pathway do not pay tuition fees, however, they are responsible for other college-related fees that total less than $50 per term. If a course requires any textbooks or materials to be purchased, students are responsible to pay those as well.

Academic enrichment students receive college credit towards their official, permanent college transcript automatically, but will have to contact their high school counselor to determine if the college credit will meet their high school graduation requirements.

These courses are typically taken outside of the regular K-12 school day with different class options:

Fully Online asynchronously or with Zoom meetings
Hybrid (Mixture of online and in-person at Moorpark College)
Fully in-person at the Moorpark College campus

Selecting Classes

Academic Enrichment dual enrollment students are highly encouraged to speak to their K-12 school counselors BEFORE starting the dual enrollment process to seek advice on what courses to take. Please see our Online Class Schedule Search where you can filter classes by term, modality, and campus within our college district.

You may also request to meet with our in-house academic counselor by emailing Seville at spinkard@vcccd.edu using your college MYVCCCD e-mail address.

*Note: Any questions regarding college course credit towards a high school diploma or  A-G CSU/UC admissions requirements must be directed to your high school counselor, not the dual enrollment counselor.
